I wondered how much Wall street was playing in the price of gas. Here is a good article, and a good Web site for energy news in general, regarding speculators.

While you’re there read this one as well. I especially like paragraph 7 and what he says about the traders getting out of real estate and getting into commodities.

    I wondered about this myself. I won’t totally blame the real estate speculators for the market’s crash, but they did play a big role in it. Now that that well has dried up they are going on to destroy something else with their greed and make the average American pay for their speculation while they sit in their 5 million dollar apartment in Manhattan. Sons a bitches.
